My Peshawar Batley
If you're craving bold spices, rich aromas, and authentic Pakistani street food in West Yorkshire, My Peshawar Batley is a name that needs no introduction. Tucked away at 5 Alfreds Way, Batley WF17 5DR, this hidden gem has quickly become a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike who want to indulge in genuine flavors from Peshawar - without leaving the UK.
What sets My Peshawar Batley apart is its dedication to authenticity. This isn't just another curry house. It’s a culinary tribute to traditional Peshawari flavors - think sizzling grilled meats, hearty karahis, and bold masalas. One of the major reasons people keep coming back is the Charsi Lamb Karahi. Cooked to perfection in a rich, spicy tomato base, it’s tender, flavorful, and made fresh to order - just the way it’s served in the bustling eateries of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Equally popular is the Chapli Kabab, a crispy, juicy minced meat patty packed with herbs and spices, served piping hot. And if you're a grill lover, their Mixed Grill Platter and BBQ Platter are crowd favorites. The smoky aroma alone is enough to draw you in from the street.
Other must-tries include Masala Fish, Seekh Kebab, Charsi Chicken Tikka, and the legendary Chappal Kebab 3 PC - all served fresh with a side of naan or rice. The Thali, a curated plate with a little bit of everything, is perfect if you're looking to sample several dishes at once.
The vibe at My Peshawar Batley is casual, family-friendly, and welcoming. The venue is equipped with wheelchair-accessible parking, seating, entrance, and toilets, making it a great option for everyone. Whether you're coming with friends, solo, or with family, there’s a space for you. It’s popular during lunch and dinner hours, and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch the lively buzz of locals chatting over green tea after a hearty meal.
Whether you're dining in or taking food to-go, My Peshawar Batley has you covered. With outdoor seating, kerbside pickup, no-contact delivery, and takeaway options, you can enjoy their food however you prefer. They’re also open late, making it a solid pick for a late-night bite or spontaneous food cravings.
And yes - everything is halal, which is a big win for many customers who prioritize halal-friendly dining. If you’re someone who enjoys small plates or a quick bite, you’ll love how their menu is designed to cater to both hearty meals and snack-sized portions.
One often-overlooked highlight of the restaurant is its great tea selection. After a meaty feast, locals love winding down with a warm cup of green tea, which pairs surprisingly well with a side of Jalapeño Samosas or French Fries. It’s not just a meal here - it’s a ritual.
Search trends show increasing interest in places offering authentic Pakistani food in Batley, karahi near me, and halal BBQ in West Yorkshire - and My Peshawar Batley checks all those boxes. Reviews
It is located in a busy area but there is plenty of parking. Went for the lamb karahi - which was very flavoursome. The roti and naans were very light and soft. The seekh kebabs were also nice.
Amazing hospitality and the ambience was just right. Shaukat and team was fantastic the food was fresh and the service was great. Will be coming back with my family. Highly recommend.
We arrived in the early evening when there was ample seating. Seating is up on the upper floor. We were sat down according to the number of people, menus given out etc... The mixed grill was great, tasty succulent chicken, tender chops and delicious fish. I'd recommend going for the one with the rice. The rice is cooked well and is very tasty. We also had the lamb curry dish. The boneless meat is great and wasn't too spicy. Hamza served us well and has good customer service. Thank you
Amazing food all the time, never miss. Customer service 10/10 always try their best to accommodate your needs. We did arrive a little early so there wasn’t much of an atmosphere however on a usual day it’s usually quite nice, family vibes. Authentic food
My favourite restaurant! The food is out of this world! Although the Bradford branch is closer but I find it way too cramped and it loud music is a nuisance and generally very hectic atmosphere . This branch is much nicer and you can actually enjoy eating the delicious dishes!
